Christmas Gift Event - Gift Card Holder

Some of you may recognize this great Gift Card Holder from the group Holiday Mini Extravaganza that I participated in a few months ago. It was designed by my friend & Stampin' Up Demonstrator Barb Fehr. It uses parts from the Candy Countdown Calendar Kit in the Holiday Mini. The best thing about it is that it gives you something to put under the tree for your gift cards that teenagers (& others) won't right away know it has a gift card in it.

The gift card will actually fit down into the box & the lid can close I just took the picture with the gift card sticking out so you could see how it goes. These boxes will be available to make at my Handmade Gift Event on Saturday December 4th for $3.00 each. Registration is just now open, see my classes page for more information & email/call me if you have not gotten a registration form & would like one.

Christmas Gift Event - Coasters

Thank you to all of you that stopped by during the Royal Blog tour. The comments about my projects were just wonderful. Especially all of the compliments on my scrapbook page of my youngest Robert. As I said in the post he is now 4 years old. Here is a more up to date picture of him.

He totally hates having his picture taken so this is the best one that I got of him on Halloween in his Buzz Lightyear costume (unfortunately without his wings).
Ok now onto the 2nd Holiday Gift...

Ok so the 2nd gift that you will be able to sign up to make at my Holiday Gift Event will be a set of 4 of these coasters with the gift box (to be shown later). The coasters are made with 2 different prints from the Deck the Halls fabric in the Holiday mini, a layer of quilt batting & a layer of Stampin' Up's new cork. All of this is cut with the Big Shot machine & clear square scallop die. The ribbon is early espresso grosgrain ribbon & the button is from the Deck the Halls button collection in the Holiday Mini. This set of 4 coaster & gift box will be priced at $10 per set.
Now for the moment all of you have been waiting for...The winner of my Royal Blog Tour Blog Candy is...Susan W. Susan I have sent you an email requesting info so I can get your Blog Candy in the mail to you. Thanks again everybody for stopping by & all of the wonderful comments.

Royal Blog Tour

Welcome to the Fall edition of the Royal Blog Tour! I hope you are enjoying your tour through the Kingdom.
The stamp set that is used in this Castle is "A Word for You." The great thing about stamp sets that are just words is that there are so many other stamps sets that you can use with them.
My 1st project is a scrapbook page made with one of the double sided die cut sheets out of the Nursery Suite Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The pictures of the baby are my youngest son, Robert (now 4), the day he left the hospital & when he was about 2 weeks old. The simply adorable words & the oval around it are quick accents from the coordinating Nursery Suite Quick Accent stickers. The words " Baby Welcome to the World" are from the A Word from you Stamp Set, stamped in Baja Breeze ink on whisper white cardstock & punched out with the wide oval punch. Then I took the 2 3/8" scallop circle & punch out another sheet from the Nursery Suite Specialty Designer Series Paper. The middle of the page is the Baby tees jumbo wheel in baja breeze ink on whisper white cardstock. Then colored with pear pizzazz, baja breeze & daffodil delight stampin' write markers. Then I glued it to a piece of pear pizzazz cardstock before gluing it to the page.

This Happy Anniversary card looks lovely & is super easy to make. The base of the card is basic black cardstock. The the whisper white cardstock I ran through the Big Shot machine with the paisley prints side of one of the texture plates in the Texture Plates #4 set. Then I stamped the words "Happy Anniversary and many more to come!" from the A Word for You stamp set at the bottom in basic black ink. Then I placed a bit of the 1/2" Ravel Lace trim around the whisper white piece & glued the whisper white to the basic black. Done...wasn't that simple.

For this birthday card I was trying to step out of my comfort zone with the colors. Normally I would not use this many bright colors together on 1 card. But I took some of my favorites, daffodil delight, mambo melon & rich razzelberry then added some whisper white to create this card. The base is daffodil delight, layer #2 is mambo melon, layer #3 is rich razzleberry, then on the 4th layer, whisper white, I stamped the words "Happy Birthday with a Cherry on Top" in rich razzelberry in the corner. On another piece of whisper white I stamped 4 different size of circles from the Circle Circus stamp set in each color plus a second one in melon mambo. I cut all 4 circles out. The 1st & 3rd circles I glued flat to the whisper white layer but the 2nd & 4th circles I put on with dimensionals just to give it a pop off the card.

My last card is an extremely easy card. I love items that are pretty & simple. Don't get me wrong I love elaborate items too but sometimes it is just nice to have something simple & pretty. This card would be great to send as a Thank You note or when a friend is feeling blue. The color (poppy parade) just make me smile. The base of the card is poppy parade. The top layer is whisper white that I ran through the Big Shot machine (just love it) with the square lattice embossing folder (just love them too) & a square wooden frame (found at any craft store). This gives the open space in the embossing. Then I stamped the words "For You from Me" in poppy parade ink, glued it onto the base & I was done. Under 5 minutes & that probably includes getting all of your supplies out.

Christmas Gift Event - Sound Card

So it is time to start thinking about your Holiday Gift Shopping! I know you might not want to but I promise to do all I can to make it easier on you. The first thing that I am going to do is host a Holiday Gift Making Event. Where you can choose from eight different gifts to make & give to all of your favorite people for the Holidays. Make sure to put yourself on the list too.
Over the next 2 weeks I will be posting pictures of all of my Holiday Gifts here on my blog. Make sure you check back frequently so you can pick all of your favorites. The first one is the new Sound Card out of the Holiday Mini. You can choose from one that plays "We wish you a Merry Christmas" or one that you can program with your own sounds.

The card itself is whisper white. So I decorated the front with always artichoke cardstock. Then took a piece of very vanilla & stamps the words Season's Greeting in Cherry Cobbler. Then stamped 3 of the leaf images in always artichoke ink. The leaf & the words are from the Peaceful Seasons level 2 stamp set out of the Holiday Mini. This stamp set is only available until January 4th. Contact me today to find out how you can get one for FREE. Then behind the very vanilla cardstock is a strip of the new Stampin' Up material called Deck the Halls. The button is laced with linen thread then glued onto the card with 2 mini glue dots.

Here is a side view of the card so you can see the sound card itself. This card will be available for $7.50 each & will come with one of Stampin' Up's padded envelopes.
Be on the lookout for other great gifts.

Button Up for Chrismtas

A card similar to these was on the front of this month's Stampin' Success magazine. A magazine that is for demonstrators only. If you are interested on how to receive this wonderful magazine every month contact me.

The cards are made exactly the same I just used different shaped buttons out of the candy cane buttons in the Holiday Mini catalog.

The base of the cards is baja breeze. The words are also stamped in baja breeze ink. The stamp is one of the images in Christmas Greeting stamp set. The saying from this stamp set is stamped in baja breeze ink on the inside. Then each of the buttons are glued on with 2 mini glue dots each.
Now wasn't that simple. You know how I love simple & pretty.

My Daughter Alexis' 16th Birthday Card

My daughter Alexis is turning 16 tomorrow. I wanted to design a card that was SO her. Purple is her color. For my older daughter it is pink but this one loves purple.

The base of this card is concord crush cardstock (I just love that color). Then I took a piece of perfect plum & ran it through the Big Shot machine with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder. Then I took concord crush 1/2" stitched ribbon & made the back & forth design by sticking it to a piece of sticky strip. Then I stamped the cupcake image & the words "Got Birthday" both from the "Got Treats" stamp sets in concord crush ink on whisper white cardstock. The words I punched out with the word window punch. Then glued them to a punch of concord crush using the modern label punch. Then the image I also stamped with concord crush ink on whisper white cardstock. I punched the image out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I layered it on a 1 3/8" circle punch of perfect plum & a 1 3/4" circle punch of concord crush. Both the image & the words are attached to the card with dimenionals to give a bit of a pop.
Happy Birthday (tomorrow) to my beautiful daughter Alexis!
