This Week!!!

Oh my is this week flying by in a flash. In honor of our group event "A Card for Every Season" here is my card for this great event. For those of you coming, we will see you on Saturday morning. I am not sure how bright eyed I will be with football the night before but at least we are at home. For those of you that were not able to sign up I will post a few other cards this week.

The Build a Bears, I just can't seem to stay away from them. At the end of the month this little guy & his girlfriend will be climbing on board some candy wrappers for my youngest son's class & my youngest daughter's 16th Birthday party. Be on the look out for those pictures. The cardstock base is tangerine tango. The front has been sent through the Big Shot with the web embossing folders. I just love the embossing folders. I hope we come out with more more more. The black strip is basic black waffle paper. The scallop oval is peach parfait. The words, the bear & all his accessories are stamped in basic black on whisper white. Then colored & cut out. The words are punched with the large oval punch. The bear is popped up with some dimensionals. This little guy is just beary sweet.

A Spooky Invite

My daughter Alexis will turn 16 on November 3rd but she was due on Halloween. I am so glad she was not born that day. Just a little too spooky to have that as your birthday. We started talking about her 16th birthday party &  looked at the two weekends that are around her birthday. Of course the fact that Halloween was the Sunday before just made it seem like a natural. Plus that way I will feed them then set them loose on the neighborhood. Sorry to my neighbors. Earlier in the year I had made some treat bags for a fund raising event that everyone just loved. Made with the tutorial from fellow demonstrator Gretchen Barron found Here. The favorite from the Halloween gang was the Mummy. So I am in the process of making 15 of these cards. Then we will be making some of the Halloween gang as treat bags to go in each guests spot on the table.

I did have to change a little bit of the instructions for him since the color he was originally sponged with is retired. So he is sponged with Crumb Cake. Then I just added a couple of gold eyelets to finish the card off. Then inside we will put all the spooky party information. Alexis is super excited...now if she just had some free time to help make these guys.
Over the weekend I will be posting 4 of the cards that I have made this week. They all use the Peaceful Season Level 2 Hostess Set out of the Holiday Mini & 1 of them will be 1 of the 5 designs for my Christmas Card Event. I am just having a hard time picking which one. Make sure you stop by to give me your thoughts.
Now it is off to get ready for the weekend. My son has an away football game tonight that is about an hour away & all my teenagers are at a Marching Band Competition on Saturday that is about an hour in the opposite directions. Lots of driving this weekend. Let's Go EAGLES!

Getting ready for a Fang-tastic Halloween

This card is a combination of a whole bunch of my favorite things from the new Holiday Mini Catalog. I love the fang-tasic stamp set & especially the web impressions folder.

The card base is tangerine tango, then the basic black was run through the Big Shot machine with the Spider Web Impressions folder. Then I took white craft ink & just lightly ran it across the raised image of the spider web. Then I stamped the boy & the words in basic black ink on whisper white cardstock. Colored the boy with basic black, blush blossom, elegant eggplant & tangerine tango markers, then I cut him out & attached him with dimensionals to a 1 3/8" punch circle of tangerine tango that was glued to a 2 3/4" scallop punch of elegant eggplant. The words are a 1 1/4" circle punch that I trimmed the bottom of so that it was even with the basic black cardstock. Be on the look out for his witch friend this weekend.
