This Week!!!

Oh my is this week flying by in a flash. In honor of our group event "A Card for Every Season" here is my card for this great event. For those of you coming, we will see you on Saturday morning. I am not sure how bright eyed I will be with football the night before but at least we are at home. For those of you that were not able to sign up I will post a few other cards this week.

The Build a Bears, I just can't seem to stay away from them. At the end of the month this little guy & his girlfriend will be climbing on board some candy wrappers for my youngest son's class & my youngest daughter's 16th Birthday party. Be on the look out for those pictures. The cardstock base is tangerine tango. The front has been sent through the Big Shot with the web embossing folders. I just love the embossing folders. I hope we come out with more more more. The black strip is basic black waffle paper. The scallop oval is peach parfait. The words, the bear & all his accessories are stamped in basic black on whisper white. Then colored & cut out. The words are punched with the large oval punch. The bear is popped up with some dimensionals. This little guy is just beary sweet.

Last Pictures of the Build a Bears

Thank you to my wonderful guest at my Build a Bear Event. To my followers I am so sorry I haven't posted anything in over a week. Those Bears were taking up all of my "free" time & some of my family time too. But I did promise to post them all so here are what I believe are the last 3 bear cards. Sometime this week I will post the journals that I made for my customers at the event. Thanks again ladies for the wonderful afternoon.

Craziness Everywhere!

Oh My Goodness! This weekend has just been madness. After taking my daughter Kayla to take her drivers license test Friday morning, we had our high school Homecoming parade & football game Friday night. Luckily the rain held off until the 4th quarter & WE WON. That makes my son's team 3 - 0. GO DUNLAP! Then Saturday morning I had a meeting with the wonderful group of demonstrators who are participating in "A Card for Every Season". Registration for this great event ends 1 week from today & spots are filling up quickly. Only 25 left after yesterday. Be on the look out for my card design in the next few days. Possibly some others as we lead up to the event. Then after my meeting I grabbed both of my daughters to go Homecoming dress shopping. Yes as of 6 hours before the dance neither one of them had a dress yet. That is so un-me. I am usually way on top of things but with Homecoming being 2 weeks earlier than normal I was not. Luckily both girls found their dresses & jewelry at the 1st store we went too. With being earlier than everybody around there was tons to pick from & we tried on a lot. So Homecoming is now over for another year & I need to get cutting on bears for next weekend. I am glad so many of you have enjoyed them & there are still a few more to come. So Much Going On!

WOW! There is so much going on in my house this week it is just crazy. I had a GREAT time yesterday at our Holiday Mini Event. Myself & 4 other Demonstrators taught some wonderful ladies how to make 6 great projects using items from the new Holiday Mini Catalog. Met some new people & saw some familiar ones too. Thanks to all for making it a successful event. Hopefully we will see you next year.
For today, I took my daughter Kayla to take her drivers license test as soon as all of the other kids were out the door to school. She passed...YEAH! and has a beautiful drivers license picture. Not that I am biased or anything. Today is Homecoming for our High School. My husband & I will be taking our 4 year old to watch his older siblings in the parade this afternoon. Then we are off to the BIG Game tonight. Let's Go Dunlap.
Now for some stamping. Today is the last day to register for my Build a Bear Event. If you haven't gotten registered call or email me ASAP. Can't wait to see the bunch of ladies that got signed up yesterday. I truly enjoyed getting to know you guys more yesterday. (I hope everything worked out with the horses at your house Cammie). So here is our next Girl Bear to celebrate the fact that Kayla got her license.




















The Beary Bright Girl was designed by fellow Stampin' up Demonstrator Debra Storbeck. The base of the card is so saffron. All of the Designer Paper is part of the Build a Bear Designer Paper pack. Her shoes, jacket & skirt are real red. The bear body is Whisper White with a So Saffron snout. Her eyes, nose & mouth are Basic Black. The brad is a So Saffron brad out of the Subtles color family. The stamps used on the outside of the card are the calendar background stamp, with the full calendar for the months. Inside the card is the word "To a Beary Wonderful Teacher" from the Season of Hugs stamp set in the new Holiday Mini catalog.
I hope you all of a wonderful weekend. I am not sure if I will get anything posted between now & Monday morning. But next week be on the lookout for the rest of the bears & my card design for my next large group of Demonstrator's event "A Card for Every Season." Registration Cutoff for that event is just 9 days away & spots are filling fast. As of yesterday we were at about 25 spots remaining. So get yours in today.

Very Pretty Girl Polar Bear

This is the 1st of my girl Bears from my upcoming Build a Bear Workshop Event. Time is ticking to get signed up for this great event. Registration ends on Friday the 10th. She was designed by fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator Cynthia Nielsen. For those of you coming to our Group Holiday Mini Extravaganza, you will get to see her in person. She (along with many others) will be on display. Make sure you check out her shinny shoes. This is a technique that I will be teaching at the Build a Bear Event.



















This card is made up of a few of my favorite Stampin' Up colors. The card base & 4th layers are concord crush. This is one of the great new in colors. The 2nd, 5th layers plus her dress, ribbons & hair flower are old olive (I use this color a lot). The designer paper is part of the in color combination of designer papers. The bear herself along with her snout are whisper white. The brads are basic black brads. Then her circle is stamped with concord crush with the words In My Thoughts 24/7 from the Hodgepodge Happiness set. Then there is a circle of basic black around the words. Her shoes are basic black with a secret to make them look that shiny. To find out what it is get signed up for my Build a Bear Event. Tomorrow's bears are some double trouble.

Let's Celebrate - Boys

In our house we definitely celebrate boys (& girls) our family is equally split right down the middle 4 & 4 (including our dog & cat). This little guy reminds me of a paper boy. I might change the punch that holds the "let's celebrate" sign to make it a little less paper boy looking. This wonderful little bear was designed by Teresa Giordano another Stampin' Up Demonstrator. The base of this card is old olive. The designer paper comes from the Nursery Suite design. The ribbon is chocolate chip satin. The bear body is crumb cake, with soft suede for his hat snout & shoes. The eyes, nose & mouth are basic black. His shirt & pants are made from the In-Color Designer Paper pack that is available as a level 1 hostess item. Then the words are from the Family Phrases stamp set. This is one of my favorite word stamp sets. Tomorrow (yes a little early) the girl Bears will start to appear. Build a Bear Journal #1

This pretty Bear has put on her Sunday best & jumped on the cover of this notebook. This is the 1st of many notebooks that I am making for each person that comes to my Build A Bear Workshop Event. Each guest will get a notebook decorated with a stylish Build a Bear Design.




















This notebook was covered with Always Artichoke cardstock both front & back. Then I stamped one of the circles from the Circle Circus stamp set with Always Artichoke ink all over the front of the notebook. I cut a piece of crumb cake cardstock & ran it through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. The bear is very vanilla. Her bow, mouth, jacket & shoes are all cherry cobbler. Eyes & nose are basic black. The bear's snout is soft suede. Her shirt & skirt are part of the deck the halls designer fabric out of the new Holiday mini catalog (pg 16). She is now ready to hold all of someone's important notes.

The 1st Build a Bear Boy - Just Lovely

This boy is ready for his date & wouldn't any girl just love to receive some lovely red roses.




















This card is bashful blue for the base. Then the grass & flower stems are old olive. It is hard to see on this picture but I took my paper snips & cut into the old olive all the way across the top to make it look more like grass. His shoes, eyes & nose are basic black. His pants, jacket & behind the shoes are crumb cake.  His shirt & collar are whisper white. His mouth, tie & roses are real red. The bear body is soft suede with a chocolate chip snout. Watch out next week for his girlfriend. She has a beautiful sparkling white rose for him.

The Last Care Bear is Here - Grumpy Bear

Here is the last of the 5 Care Bears from my upcoming Build a Bear Workshop Event. If you have not yet signed up...What are you waiting for? Registration Deadline is just a few days away on September 10th. Make sure you get signed up for this great event.

Care Base & 1/4" grosgrain ribbon: Night of Navy
2nd layer: Bashful Blue that has been through the Big Shot with the brickwork texture plate.
3rd layer & tummy: Whisper White
Bear Body, ink for tummy & words: Marina Mist
Eyes & Nose: Basic Black
Mouth: Pretty in Pink
To make the tummy I took the umbrella stamp out of the Beary Best Times stamp set, inked it with marina mist, covered most of the handle of the umbrella & stamped it on a 1 1/4" punched circle. Then I drew in the rest of the handle with a marina mist marker.

Have some luck with Good Luck Bear

I thought today would be a good day for Good Luck Bear. My son's team is headed into their 2nd week of the football season & hopefully Mr. Good Luck Bear will bring them continued Good Luck at Friday Night's Game. Let's Go Eagles!
Make sure you have your registration in for my Build a Bear Workshop Event where we will be making Mr Good Luck Bear & his other Care Bear Friends.

Card Base: Crumb Cake
2nd layer & shamrocks: Garden Green
3rd layer, snout & tummy: Whisper White
Eyes & nose: Basic Black
Mouth: Pretty in Pink
To make the bear's tummy: I punched out a 1 1/4" circle out of whisper white then drew 3 small hearts & a stem with a wild wasabi marker.
To make the shamrocks in the corners of the card I punched 8 small hearts with the 3 heart punch out of garden green cardstock. Then just cut 2 little pieces to make the stems.
The words "Thank You Beary Much" are stamped in garden Green Ink. The are from the Beary Nice Wishes stamp set.

The last Care Bear, Grumpy will be posted on Thursday. Then a new group from my Build A Bear Event will start appearing every other day.

Funshine Bear

Happy Sunday to All! To celebrate some great weather & family time day, here is Funshine Bear from the Care Bear Group of Cards that are part of my up coming Build A Bear Workshop Event. Make sure you are signed up for this great event. I hope your weekend has been as good as mine has been. My oldest son's varsity high school football team won their season opener against my high school alma mater. Then I had a wonderful day hosting a scrapbooking event. What a wonderful group of ladies! We made a 20 page scrapbook ready for pictures all in about 4 hours. Not too bad huh? When was the last time you completed an album in less than 1/2 a day. : ) Now off to get the laundry done & for you to enjoy Funshine Bear.

The words "Happy Bearthday" are from the Beary Nice Wishes stamp set & are stamped in Tangerine Tango ink.
To make the tummy: I punched a 1 1/4" circle then took the small end of a tangerine tango marker & drew a small circle. The I traced the circle with the fat end of a tangerine tango marker. I colored in the circle with the fat end of a daffodil delight marker. Then with the small end of a tangerine tango marker I just drew the 2 sides of a triangle for the rays & colored them in with a daffodil delight marker. Then I drew the smiley face with the tangerine tango marker. Be on the lookout on Tuesday for Good Luck Bear.

Cheer Bear

Here is the next in the Care Bear Line up for my Build a Bear Workshop Event on Sunday September 19th from 1 - 4 PM. If you have not signed up for this great event yet make sure you get your registration in. If you do not have a registration for email or call me & I will get you one ASAP. The last day to register is Friday September 10th. You will make 20 different bear designed cards for $40. Additional groups of 5 bear cards can be added for $10 a group. If you are unable to make the event but would like to have the workshop mailed to you send me an email. Cost would be the same plus shipping. If you have any questions let me know. Otherwise here comes Cheer Bear.

Card Base: Certainly Celery
3/4" Strips of (from the top down) Bashful Blue, Cherry Cobbler, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi & Marina Mist
Bear Body & mouth: Pretty in Pink
Bear Tummy & Snout: Whisper White
Eyes & Nose: Basic Black
To make the tummy: I punched out 2 1 1/4" circles in whisper white. 1 for the tummy & 1 to use to draw the bottom part of the rainbow. I just laid the 2nd circle on the 1st where I wanted the bottom color of the rainbow to start. Then I took the small end of a marina mist marker & traced the top of the circle. Then I moved the circle mask & traced the marina mist arc with the fat end of the marina mist marker. Then for each color going up I would take the small end of the next color marker & trace right about the previous color. Then I would go back with the fat end of the marker to make the line more bold. I did this in the following order, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango & Cherry Cobbler.
The words "Beary Best Wishes" are stamped in Marina Mist at the top of the card on the Bashful Blue. The come from the stamp set Beary Nice Wishes.

Tenderheart Bear

These are the Care Bear Group of Cards from my upcoming Build a Bear Workshop Event. I will be posting the Care Bears then they will be followed by the other Big Shot die Bears (Boys then Girls) then the last group to be posted will be the stamp cards. This group of Care Bear cards were inspired by some Care Bears made by fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator Theresa Klawitter. Thanks Teri for the wonderful idea! The 1st Care Bear is Tenderheart Bear.

To Make Tummy: Punch 1 1/4" circle in whisper white. Punch 1 wide heart for a mask to outline around with the small end of a cherry cobbler marker. Remove mask & trace outline with large end of cherry cobbler marker. Color the inside of the heart with the fat end of a pretty in pink marker.

The words are stamped in Pretty in Pink Ink.
